Music For Kids

New Sound.jpg

NewSound Choir

Kids can learn that singing is both fun and an act of worship while making some great friends! We are a Pre-K to 5th grade choir who sings in a variety of services at St. John's United Methodist Church, Albuquerque. Singers develop foundational singing skills through age-appropriate choral selections and engaging activities. Children will grow as musicians by learning about head voice singing, breathing fundamentals, and listening and ensemble skills. Literacy is nurtured through solfege, ear training, and music reading. Auditions are not required.

NewSound Choir is an advocate of equality for people of all genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, mental and physical ability, class, and serve as worship leaders steering the United Methodist church into the future of acceptance and inclusivity.

Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 6:00pm
